A Reiki session, is sometimes called a Reiki healing, or a Reiki treatment. A session lasts approximately one hour, but can range from 20 mins to one and a half hours depending on your needs. Reiki is a hands-on healing technique and is usually done with the person lying down, fully clothed on a plynth with their eyes closed. Whilst listening to gentle music as the practitioner works on them. The hands placed gently on or near the body in a sequence of positions, holding each one for several minutes.
The whole body is treated even when pain or illness is localised, so that the energy can go to the cause of the imbalance, not just to the manifesting symptoms. People often experience a deep sense of relaxation as stress and tension are released. Reiki will complement and increase the effectiveness of most kinds of medication and treatment. It is a safe, natural and holistic way of treating disease. The number of treatments needed varies from person to person.
